ABOUT

Camp Epic is a fun youth day camp for children 5-15 years of age and is offered during GPISD holiday breaks. Campers will enjoy playing recreational games, swimming, doing arts and crafts, and exploring the Epic’s many amenities. Register early as space is limited.

Camp runs from 7:00 a.m.  – 6:00 p.m.

  • Drop-off: 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. (rise and shine programming)
  • Building rotation: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (mid-day programming)
  • Pick-up: 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (wind down programming)

COST

Summer Camp
$25 Registration Fee per child
Epic Member: $130 per week
Non-member: $150

  • Child must be a member to receive the member discount
  • Field Trip admission and shirt is included in cost
  • There is a $25 per week cancellation fee after May 26, 2023

How do I register? 

  • Select all the weeks your camper will be attending.
  • You will have until May 26, 2023 to cancel by email, camp weeks without any cancellation fees.
  • These weeks fill up fast, if you are hoping to qualify for financial aid, please register for the weeks your camper will be attending. If you do not qualify, your first week fee will be refunded without any cancellations fees if your child does not attend camp.

 

What will I pay when I register? 

  • Registration fee and payment for first week will be due at the time of
  • You will have 2 Options:
    • Pay all the weeks in full.
    • Have each additional week auto drafted.
  • Auto drafts will come out the Friday before the start of registered week.
  • To cancel a payment for a week of camp, the request must be made by email, 7 days prior to the start of registered week.
  • There is a $25 cancellation after May 26, 2023.
  • No weeks will be prorated.

CANCELATION POLICY

Cancelation and Refund Policy: We recognize that sometimes plans change, and you must withdraw your child from camp. Cancelations must be requested in writing and are subject to the following: *Before May 26, 2023 -A refund will be given for camp weekly fee. Registration fee is non-refundable. Membership fees are nonrefundable. *Between May 26-August 11- A cancelation fee of $25 will be charged per camper/per week. Registration fee is non-refundable. Membership fee is nonrefundable.


No refund, reduction of fees, or credit will be granted for late arrival, missed days, early departure, withdrawal, or dismissal.

FINANCIAL AID - RESIDENTS ONLY

Financial aid is available for residents that qualify.

Steps

  1. To save a spot for camp, you must register and pay full price for the first week and registration fee. If you need to wait to see if you qualify, camp spots are not reserved and if they fill up you may be put on a waiting list.
  2. Fill out the Financial Aid packet and provide all the necessary documentation.
  3. Once processed you will be notified if you have been approved.
  4. If you do not qualify, we can issue you a full refund if you no longer wish to participate in camp.

LUNCH & SNACK

Lunch Time:  12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Lunch is provided by the parent.  Please pack a disposable sacked lunch that does not require a refrigerator or microwave. Please label all containers.

Utensils/Napkins are provided.

Please send a refillable water container/bottle with your child’s name.

Snack Times: 9:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.
Two snacks will be provided per day. There will not be any snacks with nuts. Please be sure to pack extra snacks if your child has any food allergies, intolerances or specific preferences.

Lunch and snack times are approximate.

SWIM TIME

Swim Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Swim days for each age group are TBA

Make sure to pack swimwear, a change of clothes & a towel.  Outside pool toys are not allowed.

What to Expect:
Campers will have 4 options:

  • Option 1: Parent/Guardian requires that the child always wear a lifejacket while swimming.
  • Option 2: Parent/Guardian chooses to have their child take a swim test to be in the water without the lifejacket. Those who do not pass the swim test will be required to wear a life jacket.
  • Option 3: Parent/Guardian allows their child to bypass the swim test and be in the water without a lifejacket. Lifeguards have final say and if they deem that a child needs a lifejacket, a lifejacket will be required.
  • Option 4: Parent/Guardian does not allow their child to swim.

Those that need lifejackets are tagged with a specific color wrist band, and those that don’t will receive a different color wrist band.

Check-in/Out

  • Drop-off and pick-up will be through our back parking lot entrance between 7:00-8:30 a.m. & 4:30-6:00 p.m. More detailed directions will be emailed out later.
  • Upon check-in, the parent/guardian will receive a car tag that must be presented at check-out. If the  is not available at check-out, the parent or guardian will need to show identification.

  • This app will be our primary way of communicating to parents/guardians.
  • Each parent/guardian will be emailed sign-in instructions sometime after registration.

Backpacks/Bags

  • Each child will be responsible for keeping up with their belongings throughout the day, so pack lightly.
