What to Expect:
Campers will have 4 options:
- Option 1: Parent/Guardian requires that the child always wear a lifejacket while swimming.
- Option 2: Parent/Guardian chooses to have their child take a swim test to be in the water without the lifejacket. Those who do not pass the swim test will be required to wear a life jacket.
- Option 3: Parent/Guardian allows their child to bypass the swim test and be in the water without a lifejacket. Lifeguards have the final say and if they deem that a child needs a lifejacket, a lifejacket will be required.
- Option 4: Parent/Guardian does not allow their child to swim. Nonswimmers will use the Splash Pad only.
Those who need lifejackets are tagged with a specific color wristband, and those who don’t will receive a different color wristband.
Due to ratios, all campers will go to the Aquatic Center on their assigned swim days. Alternate swim activities are not available. Due to the summer temps, campers not swimming should bring attire so they can participate in the Splash Pad.
