Twist and Throw (Pottery Wheel Workshop)

Join us for a fun and creative Saturday Pottery Wheel Workshop where participants will learn the basics of using a pottery wheel in a hands-on environment. During the first part of class, participants will practice wheel-throwing techniques and create pieces using clay on the pottery wheel.

In the second part of class, participants will glaze a finished ceramic piece while learning basic glazing methods and finishing techniques. This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone interested in exploring the art of ceramics and pottery creation.

Painting Pathways (Adult Painting Classes)

Come join us for an Adult Beginners Landscape Painting Class in the Level Up Lounge!
 
Held on the last two Wednesdays of each month, this welcoming class is designed for adults who are new to painting or looking to strengthen their artistic foundations in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
 
Participants will explore basic painting techniques, color mixing, brushwork, composition, and texture while creating beautiful landscape-inspired artwork. Each session features a preset painting project centered around a specific technical concept, allowing students to build confidence and skills step-by-step.
 
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Garden Gallery (Planting Workshop)

Before cars, cities, and buildings, there were plants! In this monthly series, kids do more than just make a garden. Participants will receive a map of their garden space, explore the month’s materials, and sketch out their designs before bringing them to life. Along the way, they will learn how to care for plants, understand what gardens need to thrive, and practice real-world skills that help their environment grow and flourish.

In our Texture Tiles program, participants will design and create their very own textured clay tiles using patterns inspired by nature, everyday objects, and their imagination. This hands-on class is perfect for young artists who enjoy working with clay and exploring different textures and designs.

Texture Tiles (Ceramic Tiles)

Science by Design

Join us for our Monthly STEM Art Series, where creativity and science come together in exciting, hands-on projects! This program meets twice each month, with separate sessions designed for two different age groups so activities can be tailored to each group’s skill level and creativity.

Each month features a brand-new theme and craft project, allowing participants to explore different materials, artistic techniques, and STEM-based concepts. From color-changing slime and chemical reactions to painting, building, and mixed-media creations, kids will enjoy learning while making something unique to take home and show off.
 
Class Schedule:
  • Two sessions per month (Fridays)
  • Ages 8–14
  • Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • New craft theme every month, projects change monthly

Draw In Style Monthly Character Drawing Series

Ever wondered what you would look like in a whole new world or theme? Step into Draw In Style, a fun monthly drawing class where participants learn how to create a character version of themselves inspired by a different theme each month. Whether it’s fantasy, space adventures, superheroes, animals, or other exciting worlds, each session brings a brand-new creative challenge.
 
Participants will explore how to transform themselves into characters that match the monthly theme using their imagination to design outfits, expressions, and unique details that bring their character to life. How do you see yourself in this creative world?

Ani-Mania

Love Anime? Always wanted to learn how to draw like the pros? Join this class for an easy introduction to creating anime-styled art. Students will build foundational drawing skills and learn how to bring their ideas to life.

I AM ART Workshop

I AM ART is a six-week youth artist workshop founded by Dayji Moore, designed to teach foundational visual art skills while fostering self-confidence and self-identity. Participants will be introduced to facial mapping, feature recognition, acrylic painting techniques, color mixing, and portraiture fundamentals. Throughout the workshop, students will be encouraged to explore, identify, and appreciate the unique features that make them who they are.

This program emphasizes creative expression, cultural awareness, and positive self-image through guided instruction and hands-on art-making. The final session will feature a celebratory showcase where each participant presents their completed portrait, receives a certificate of completion, and enjoys refreshments and photo opportunities to commemorate their achievements.

Project Renfaire

Project Chainmail

Project Renfaire
In this class, participants will learn how to make their own chainmail jewelry using techniques both ancient and modern. From beginner weaves such as European 4-in-1 and Byzantine to more intermediate and advanced styles like Helm, King’s Mail, and Sweet Pea, participants will create bracelets, pendants, or necklaces while learning the foundations of chainmail artistry.
 
Each participant chooses their weave pattern at the start of class and begins what is hopefully a long journey into chainmail jewelry making.

Quiet on Set

Love movies or TV and ever think, “I want to make that?” This four-class, one-month film course is a hands-on introduction to filmmaking. No experience needed—just creativity.

Students will learn the basics of screenwriting, directing, shooting, and editing while turning ideas into real scenes. We’ll explore how stories are written, how shots are filmed, and how footage is edited to feel like a finished movie. Along the way, students will experiment, collaborate, and bring their creative visions to life.

The Epic’s art classrooms will host a number of visual arts courses that will accommodate beginners as well as seasoned artists.  With a focus on proper technique from trained instructors, classes will include painting, drawing, ceramics, and other mixed media crafts. The space will also be available for paint party rentals and as a studio space rental.
