Epic Hikes! was born from many conversations with Epic members who were interested in hiking but didn’t know how—or where—to get started. Although dozens of hiking clubs already exist throughout the DFW metroplex, it can be intimidating to join a large group of strangers for the first time, especially as a novice. Our mission is to guide Epic members through new trails, for longer distances, at increased difficulty, and to instill in them the confidence and competence to guide their own friends and family along the same trails.
Hiking is an excellent activity for training cardiovascular endurance, challenging your proprioception and balance, and relieving stress. I recommend it to all my clients—even the fittest of our CrossFit athletes! Whether you have never hiked before or you’ve blazed a thousand trails already, you’re welcome to join us on hike that will match the distance and intensity you desire.
