CROSSFIT

You can do CrossFit. Yes, you. In fact, it was made for you. Greg Glassman, founder and CEO, defines CrossFit as “constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing, and more. These are the core movements of life.” First time participants say it is the hardest workout they have ever done. CrossFitters say it has led them to the greatest fitness gains but that the real magic is in the community. Workouts are scaled to fit the needs of the novice and the professional alike. Join us as we embark on an Epic fitness journey that combines fitness with competition, camaraderie, and fun!

CROSSFIT FOUNDATIONS

Introducing CF Foundations. A 4-week (8 sessions) program designed to help anyone new to CrossFit learn basic functional movements as well as the 10 domains of fitness: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. Movements will be performed with body weight, PVC pipes, light weight training bars, and medicine balls and taught by our CrossFit 2960 training staff. We are here to welcome you, meet you where you are on your fitness journey, empower you by educating and challenging you, and to cheer you on as you progress forward. Our primary goal is to prepare you to join the group classes with confidence. Sessions are held Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the Multi-Purpose room and begin the first Monday of each new month.

WOD

CrossFit 2960 is excited to share daily WODs with the community. This month we are doing two Hero WODs a week. Hero workouts are pulled from the official CrossFit Library and are named after heroes who have given their lives in the line of duty. We do these workouts to remember these men and women and their families, and to remind us to think outside of ourselves.

MEET YOUR CROSSFIT 2960 COACHES

SASHA

CROSSFIT 2960 COACH

About Sasha:

Sasha got into CrossFit as a participant in 2014 when she saw a Groupon for a local CrossFit box. She decided to give it a shot as she wanted a change from some of the Group Fitness classes such as Spin and Body Pump she had been taking for years. She decided to become an instructor to help others join in their fitness journey and has since been teaching for the past 2 years and currently holds a CrossFit Level 2 certificate.

CRISTY

CROSSFIT 2960 COACH

About Cristy:

Cristy started doing CrossFit in 2013. Prior to that, she was working as a nutritionist, coaching cycling and boot camp style classes, taking boxing classes, and training for a marathon. Her training and workouts were getting stale and boring and she needed a challenge. She decided to give CrossFit a try. She tried many boxes until she found the one that gave her the best and safest coaching. Immediately got hooked. Soon thereafter decided to get certified to be able to keep helping people achieve their fitness goals in the safest way possible.

NANCY

CROSSFIT 2960 COACH

Nancy started CrossFit in 2016. She was motivated by her adaptive athlete friend, who is a well-known Wodapalooza competitor, to work out during her pregnancy. This inspired her to help others accomplish their fitness goals by becoming a CrossFit coach. She believes in no excuses and that anything can be accomplished if you put your heart and mind to it.

KRIS

CROSSFIT 2960 COACH

CrossFit 2960 instructor. CrossFit Level 1 & CrossFit Strongman Certified
Kris got into CrossFit as a participant in 2018 while overseas with the military in preparation for Ranger School. He has competed and trained in power lifting since 2002, and specializes in strength and conditioning as well as military preparation training. He got into coaching after running several physical training programs in the military and found that he had a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals and push themselves to new limits.
