The Epic’s Culinary Kitchen presented by IKEA, will host a number of culinary arts courses and socials, for both adult and children. Classes will range from hands-on, kid friendly classes to fancy adult socials. The space is also rentable for kid’s parties and adult events.
Meet Connie, The Epic’s Culinary Specialist. With over 20 years of experience in sales, including event sales as a catering manager and director, she is well versed in outreach and the culinary arts. She has plenty of experience in teaching techniques, menu creation, and program marketing/implementation and will strive to bring these talents to the community of Grand Prairie. INSTA POT COOKING
Hands-on and demonstration. Get a front row seat to a live cooking show! Relax as chefs sauté, flambé, and fricassee new dishes or take part in the action. Learn new techniques and taste the fruits of their labor before the night is through. Be prepared for lots of laughs, learning, and levity from each encounter.
LOCAL RESTAURANT CHEFS
Local chefs will bring their expertise to the classroom. They will teach techniques including how to balance flavors and meal prep. Classes will include generous samplings.
BAKING FOR KIDS
Beginning in October 2019, kids can learn safe baking techniques which includes decorating. Cakes, cupcakes and cookies will be covered and kids will be able to take creations home.
HEALTHY EATING/MEAL PREP
Learn how to prepare meals based on macro-nutrient ratios (carbs, fat, protein). What is Keto? What is Paleo? What is Whole 30? Which diets are actually healthy and sustainable. Learn how to plan for the week efficiently, preventing overeating and bad decisions.
SATURDAY MORNING BREAKFAST CLUB
Learn how to go beyond eggs and bacon. We will cover specialty breakfast concepts, including brunch.
COMFORT FOOD SERIES
Covering comfort food inspired by famous diners around the state. Taught by Epic Culinary Specialist, Connie Graf. She’ll share family recipes handed down from family and tweaked to perfection over the years.
MEAT GRINDING CLASS
Create a signature blend of beef for your own, homemade burgers.
